Can Heroes Be Saved? And Can We Solve Their Mommy Issues?

Remember Season One of Heroes? Remember how exciting it was? Remember when Peter was discovering his powers and attractively brooding? Remember when Claire was only alittle bit annoying?

What happened?

I've stuck with Heroes and will probably continue to but I keep wondering: How is this show going to be saved?

Let's take last night's episode.Bryan Fuller, creator of "Pushing Daisies" (a show I didn't like but respected) and original force behind Heroes, returned to try to fix this broken show. And sure,he did a better job than the writers have been doing for...the past..season or more. But remember the days when watching the promo for next week was EXCITING? I don't know how to fix the show.I don't.Most of the characters are more plot devices than characters so maybe that's a start. But does anyone really see where Heroes is going?

And then there's the issue of female characters.I'm surprised I haven't read this in any other reviews yet.

*SPOILER ALERT*

We lost two female characters tonight...both who, ironically, already died before. Now,I'll admit,I never had any attachment to either of them. But who does this leave us with? Angela, one of the only truly awesome characters the show has left. And Claire, the worst character of the show...and a bunch of guys. It's truly odd and actually,it makes me pretty upset. This isn't "Lord of the Flies"! Then looking back,I started to realize that Heroes has had LOTS of problems with female characters. Most of them I've hated (Simone,Maya,Nikki/Jessica/Whoever,Irish Chick). The only one I actually liked,Elle, was killed off.So what's up,Heroes writers?

Get over your issues and give us some strong female characters. And while you're at it,decide where you want to go with this show because not all fans are as loyal.
